Gambling Lingo: All Games -Part 1

They sure do talk funny in a casino, don’t they? What do they mean by that expression?

Well, my game-playing friends, you are about to learn some Gambling Lingo heard often at the tables. Not only will you pick up some new jargon, but just think about how you will impress your playing buddies. Some of these expressions have a long history and will surely add some fun to your next casino experience. That is why we are here with some of the most common expressions that are shared by qiu qiu online terpercaya players:

Here we go:

Blackjack.

-Snapper: A term used when two cards are dealt comprising of an ace and a ten-value card.

-Cold Turkey: When the first two cards dealt are both face cards.

-Stiff: Your completed hand totals 12 through 16. Nightmares are made of this.

-Color: A picture card consisting of either a jack, queen or king.

The Blackjack Player

-Ploppy: A newbie player who is not practicing sound strategy nor making correct decisions, however is not above coaching other players about what they should do.

-Back Counter: A card counter lurking in the background checking out the deck and/or shoe for opportunities then biding his time to play when the count is positive.

Blackjack Craftiness

-Spooking: A team member who gets a peek at the dealer’s hole card from the back, then relays a sign to his buddy at that particular table. That player then makes an informed call.

-Front Loading: A player peeks at the value of the hole card, generally caused by a newbie or inattentive dealer. Poker

-Rake: A percentage and/or flat fee deducted from the pot after each betting round for the casino services. These services include a dealer and equipment.

-Flop: The first three community cards dealt and placed in the center of the table in the game of Hold ‘Em Poker.

-Muck: The name of the discard pile for Poker.

-Blind: The mandatory bet that one or all players must make before the start of a particular game and before any cards are dealt.

-Washing the Cards: The dealer blends the deck of cards in a circular motion with both hands before a shuffle is performed.

Craps

-Big Red: The dice are showing a seven combination.

-Eighter from Decatur: The dice are showing an eight combination.

-Big Dick: The dice are showing a ten combination.

-Barefoot Bet: This is a come, pass line or doesn’t pass bet without any odds.

-Puck: Once a point is secured, this is the name of the marker used to announce that number.

The Craps Player

-Right Bettor: A player who makes pass line and come bets.

-Wrong Bettor: A player who makes doesn’t pass and doesn’t come bets.

Roulette

-Dolly: The device used by the dealer to mark a winning number.

-Street: Three numbers that run across the roulette table layout, e.g., 16, 17, and 18.
